(As we drove into town....a traffic stop looking at IDs...this is so typical I found it hilarious)

Road Trip to Mississippi
We loaded up the car this year and headed down to Mississippi to spend the holiday weekend with family. We camped for a couple of days (this was M's first camping trip), visited the Tupelo Buffalo Park, hung out with family, ate..... The perfect long weekend. We all had a fantastic time but I think M had the best time of all of us. She really seemed to be into having the family around which is so awsome for her. That's one of the biggest things that I miss for her and feel guilty about---not living close to family. Well, I guess not having them close by will make her cherish her family more when she does have them....hopefully. My mom even baked my favorite cake---coconut ---yummy (yes, I reluntantly shared)! Good times!

Are those ID checks even legal (Ms. Woman-of-the-law)? Seems like they're violating some type of personal freedom.
Guess you've got to expect that sort of thing in the big city of Houston!
Random stops are illegal unless the officer had a reasonable justification for the stop. However, roadblocks checking for seat belts, vehicle registration, drunk driving, border patrol, etc. are legal since it's considered a public safety thing. ****Disclaimer.
