Our trip to Ischia was through Capri. We took the ferry from Positano to Capri then ferry to Ischia. Just our luck the water was rough the day we traveled. That means... sea sick passengers. I always stay in the boat towards the middle since I get a bit off during those rides and apparently half the ferry had the same issue. It was like an infirmary. I could NOT wait to get off the boat!!
But Ischia was so worth it.

Lush with beautiful flowers and Mt. Epomeo and the sea in the back drop. We visited the castle--Castello Aragonese. The castle has been on this site since around 476 BC. It was breathtaking! We also spent the day at one of the thermal spas. Arose tripped and skinned her knees pretty good; however, overall a beautiful day healing ourselves in the thermal waters and tanning at the beach (or burning in my case:-))
Our stay here was too short and we will certainly return. It was larger than expected with 6 comunes.

(Funny story....Chris thought he had found some Ferrigno's. A local barber in Forio. We visited the barber and chatted for a while. We were told that his dad was a Ferrigno (but not the barber). The barber looked kind of confused. We thought it was the language but actually that should have been a sign. We were told to return to the barber shop later that day to meet the dad. Well, turns out....he wasn't a Ferringo but that was his nickname. We got a good chuckle....our lost in translation moment!!)
