Our much anticipated visit to familial Atessa! We discovered on our way to Atessa that ARose suffers from motion sickness. These roads are steep with lots of switchbacks and hard turns. Over the last few days she has mentioned to Chris not to drive so fast but we didn't think much of it. Well, we should have listened. Poor baby! Luckily we stumbled upon a store, bought her some new clothes, and she was good as new.
We visited on Sunday and most of rural Italy shuts down on Sundays--or, for that matter, any other day of the week or time of day:-()--so we didn't really get to experience Atessa properly. We did, however, have a nice meal at the one and only restaurant open for business and walked the streets of Atessa.
Atessa is a very charming town....just like our ARose. I'm so happy we made it.
